• A backpack and its contents were reported stolen May 15 from the front passenger seat of a car that was parked in the 300 block of Wheeler Drive.

• James J. Wolski, 47, of the 4N500 block of Citation Lane, Elburn, was charged Monday, May 14, with driving under the influence of alcohol.
May 18, 2012 - 5:30 a.m.
• An employee at a liquor store in the 100 block of Route 38, Elburn, told police a male suspect took a bottle of Merlot wine from the store without paying for it on Tuesday, May 1. The employee described the suspect as a white male, about 6 feet, 4 inches tall, wearing a gray baseball cap. The employee said the suspect put the bottle under his jacket and fled the store. Police said the incident remains under investigation.

• Seven to nine gunshots were heard shortly before 3 a.m. May 17, but police found no victims, casings or damage to property, police reports state.

• James Michael Godish, 28, of the 100 block of Remington Drive, St. Charles, was charged Friday, May 11, with retail theft for reportedly stealing $24.48 in cough syrup and candy from Meijer, 855 S. Randall Road.

• Gregory J. Duda, 52, of the 42W200 block of Timber Trail, St. Charles, was charged Wednesday, May 9, with two counts of felony domestic battery and two counts of misdemeanor domestic battery.

• Enrique Alvarez, 38, of the 14500 block of South Steiner Road, Plainfield, was charged Wednesday, May 9, with driving with a suspended license following an accident in the 200 block of Illinois Street.

• Natasha Spasojevic, 31, of 1110 S. Raddant Road, Batavia, was charged May 10 with retail theft for allegedly taking three bottles of perfume, a candle and two greeting cards valued at $90.07 from Kohl’s, 251 N. Randall Road.

• Barbara Ann Walter, 59, of the 0-100 block of Oak Creek Court, North Aurora, was charged May 8 with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use.
May 11, 2012 - 5:30 a.m.
• Marek Widelak, 34, of the 500 block of Charlton Court, Lake Villa, was charged Saturday, May 5, with battery. According to police, Widelak caused bodily harm to the victim when he grabbed her by the neck and choked her with his hand and banged her head against a patio door. The victim was taken to Delnor Hospital in Geneva.

• Michael James Vonkaenel, 27, of the 100 block of Walnut Drive, St. Charles, was charged Monday, May 7, with retail theft from Meijer, 855 S. Randall Road, where he worked in the Starbucks kiosk. He reportedly twice uploaded $25 to a Starbucks gift card without paying for it.

• Ivan Javier Castro, 45, of the 500 block of Walnut Avenue, Elgin, was charged May 2 with driving with a revoked license and speeding. He was also wanted on a Boone County warrant for a charge of driving with a revoked license, and he was wanted on a DuPage County warrant for failing to appear in court on a driving under the influence charge. He was taken to DuPage County because it had the higher bail, police reported.

• Jaclyn Merry Gomez, 23, of the 300 block of Thornhill Court, Schaumburg, was charged May 6 with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use.
May 3, 2012 - 5:30 a.m.
• Ketchup was thrown on two cars Tuesday, April 24, while parked on the 1200 block of Shoop Drive. No permanent damage was done.
May 2, 2012 - 5:30 a.m.
• Keenan Robert Trashani, 21, of the 1700 block of Richter Drive, Batavia, was charged Sunday, April 29, with public drunkenness.
